FAQ

Straight answers, the way I'd give them on the phone.

What does it cost?

6% of linehaul — the freight charge only. Never your fuel surcharge, never detention or layover pay, never accessorials. Here's the difference that makes: on a $3,000 load with $400 of fuel surcharge in it, my fee is $156 — a dispatcher charging 6% of the gross takes $180. Your first load is free.

How and when do I pay you?

Weekly, in arrears. Every Monday you get an itemized statement — every load, date, lane, linehaul, and my fee, line by line. Wednesday, 48 hours later, the card you have on file is charged. That gap is your dispute window: if a number's wrong, we fix it before money moves.

Do you touch my freight money?

Never. The broker pays you directly — same as if you'd booked the load yourself. I bill you separately for dispatching. Clean separation, in writing.

Where do the loads come from?

The spot market for your headhaul out — I work for the highest-paying dry-van load that clears your floor. Backhaul home is planned on Amazon Relay, J.B. Hunt 360box, and Uber Freight, matched to your home date.

What if I break down with a load on?

You call me first. I find another truck to relay the load so your freight keeps moving and your customer relationship stays intact, coordinate the swap, and document every detention and layover dollar. This is in the playbook from day one.

Do you need my MC number?

Yes — I dispatch as your agent, under your authority. You'll also sign a limited power of attorney that lets me execute rate confirmations in your name. It covers nothing else, and you can revoke it in writing any time.

Am I locked in?

No. Either side can end the agreement with 7 days' written notice. Fees for completed loads are still due, but there's no term, no penalty, no hostage situation.

What region do you run — and what if I want to stay out longer?

Both. Standard tours are 7–10 days, home regularly — run out of your home base, wherever that is. But if you're a road warrior who'd rather stay out 2–3 weeks and bank miles, I'll plan that too. Your home-time rule is yours — I just build the tour around it.

Why should I trust a one-man shop?

Because one man is all you ever talk to. Thirty years in this industry — driver, mechanic, dispatcher, up to COO. I know what a truck costs to run, I know what a cheap load smells like, and my whole business is your truck making money. Your success is our foundation.

What do I need to sign up?

Your own MC authority, a 53' dry van — yours, or I can help you line up an affordable trailer lease — and your insurance in place. That's it. We set your rate floor together on the first call, before anything gets booked.

When I call, who actually answers — and when?

Me. Larry. There's no call center and no night shift, and I won't pretend there is — I'm one man, and you'll always get the same one. If I miss you, you get a call back fast. And if you're broke down with a load on, that call jumps the line.
